I recently had some work done on my basement. When the contractor came by to give an estimate the scope of the work didn’t seem too outlandish. Jack hammer the perimeter of my concrete floor, lay some gravel and pipe and then route it out to a sump pump. Easy! In fact, couldn’t I just do it? I could rent a jack hammer, watch a YouTube video and . . . and what?!?! Who am I kidding? This work is best left up to the professionals. And 9 hours later and just shy of 5k I had a new, interior french drain in my basement. No more leaking!
